Basic Christmas Stocking
A classic christmas stocking to be designed with a contrasting cuff, heel and toe. The heel is made with an “afterthought heel” technique. We will be making the small size, called the “wee” in the pattern (approx. 5” x 12”)

Pattern:
Basic Christmas Stocking by Churchmouse Yarn & Teas available for purchase in the Studio or on Ravelry $8 .00 (Includes 3 sizes)
Main Color - 1 skein (115 yards approx.) worsted weight yarn We recommend Woolstok, UltraWool, or Vintage
Contrasting Color - 1 skein (60 yards approx. for cuff, heel and toe) worsted weight yarn
Note - DK weight yarn can be used but would result in a slightly smaller stocking.

US 7 circular needle - 16” length
Stitch marker
Darning needle

Instructor Bio: | Sharon taught herself to crochet and sew while living near the Vogue Fabrics store in Illinois. Knitting came later when she connected with a church group making prayer shawls. Sharon was an artist-in-residence for the Healing Arts Program, at Presbyterian St. Luke?s Hospital in Denver where she taught basic hat knitting and 2D wet felting to moms with high risk pregnancies. Sharon is also a registered Landscape Architect who enjoys adventures with her family, including cliff jumping. |
