The Big Y

The Big Y sweater is a seamless top down project, easy and quick to knit and manageable even for less experienced knitters.
The Big Y refers to the rib stitches that begin at the neck, become the raglan detail, wrap around the armhole and eventually merge together for the side tailoring. Once merged, this rib pattern gradually moves forward towards the front and provides the illusion of side shaping. The split hem is designed with a longer back and an overlap that keeps it neat.
