Better Fitting Sweaters

If you have ever experienced knitting a sweater to the pattern specifications and been disappointed by the final fit, this workshop is for your.

Much of the pleasure of knitting a sweater is making it your own. But patterns are typically written to fit generalized standards. Knowing how to adjust patterns to fit you will empower your knitting

Knitwear designer, Debbie O'Neill will walk you through measuring your body, measuring garments you like the fit of, reading schematics, choice of yarn/gauge/stitch pattern, adjusting yoke length, adjusting armhole depth, darts/short rows, adjusting length, adjusting stitch counts, adjusting rates of increase/decrease, adjusting necklines, and basic modifications to existing patterns, including turning a pullover into a cardigan.

Please bring knitting fit failures, garments that you like the fit, and maybe a pattern you want to tweak.

Please read our class Policies before registering. A minimum of 3 participants is required to hold this class. Please encourage a friend to attend with you--it's more fun that way!
