Tartan Slipped Stitch Cowl (2 classes)
A slip stitch colorwork cowl using two colors to make a tartan plaid pattern. The slip stitch colorwork pattern is provided in chart form. Finished size is approx. 22”circumference by 11.5” height.
Materials:
Purchase pattern on Ravelry for $7.00 Canadian (This pattern also includes a matching hat pattern that you can make on your own).
Main Color - 1 skein (45 grams) DK, solid color is best
Contrasting Color - 1 skein (55 grams) DK, solid color is best
Optional - silk/mohair blend lace weight can be held double with the contrasting color
US 4 circular needle - 16” length (for the ribbing)
US 6 circular needle - 16” length (for the body)

| Instructor Bio: | Sharon taught herself to crochet and sew while living near the Vogue Fabrics store in Illinois. Knitting came later when she connected with a church group making prayer shawls. Sharon was an artist-in-residence for the Healing Arts Program, at Presbyterian St. Luke?s Hospital in Denver where she taught basic hat knitting and 2D wet felting to moms with high risk pregnancies. Sharon is also a registered Landscape Architect who enjoys adventures with her family, including cliff jumping. |
