Sweater Camp 
May 3 through May 5th 2024

Sweater Camp is your chance to get away from your daily routines and hang out with your tribe. At this mountain escape you make new knitting friends, immerse yourself in nature and learn some cool sweater knitting tricks. Its everything great about sleep away camp, but with comfy beds, organic food and lots of knitting talk. 





Located in the rugged Rocky Mountains,  just 75 minutes from FingerPlay Studio and 7.5 miles to Estes Park, Dao House offers a serene mountain retreat. The scenic drive is along a paved mountain road. 

Dao House, which sits on over 81 acres of land backing up to the Rocky Mountain National Park, hosts one of the largest freestanding log structures in the United States. The property is surrounded by magnificent mountains and native wildlife.  Guests will relish in the natural beauty only the Colorado Rockies can offer. 


















All rooms are located in the main rustic lodge house. Meals and activities also conveniently take place in the lodge house. 



Each room holds 2 queen size beds and private bathroom. There are no TVs, so you can really unplug. 



All rooms have interior entrances and an exterior door to the shared balcony.


Special needs may be accommodated with advanced notice.

If you know that you want to share a room with a particular person, please use the notes at check-out to let us know with whom you'll be sharing a room. 

Singles who wish to share a room with another single can register without naming a roommate. We will assign roommates. 



Everything You Need

All meals are included in your retreat: breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Dao House creates fresh consciously sourced meals and can accommodate special diets with advanced notice. Tea and spring water are available at all times in the lobby.

Additional Amenities
Further your retreat experience with add-on experiences of massage, oxygen bar, biomat therapy, and tai chi classes. 

Alcohol
Beer and wine are available for purchase through the Dao House. The retreat will not provide any alcohol. Liquor laws stipulate that you cannot bring your own alcoholic beverages.

You may plan to arrive as early as 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3rd.

Friday
We will gather for dinner at 6:00 p.m. Get to know each other and have time for knitting.

    Adventures in Sweaters Knitting Part 1 (morning) 
    Lunch
    Free time
         Take a hike, enjoy a nap, or work on your project
    Adventures in Sweaters Knitting Part 2 (afternoon)

    Games and knitting together

    Enjoy some of the added activities
    Closing ceremony

We are staying at the foot of Longs Peak. The retreat property backs up to the Twin Sisters hiking trail and is 1/2 mile from Lilly Lake trailhead.


Costs

Pricing includes lodging, all meals and instruction. Early bird before Dec. 31, 2023 special $595 per person double occupancy.
Regular price $645 per person double occupancy.

Added activities such as tai chi, etc are at an additional cost to be paid directly to the Dao House.

If you choose to skip a meal or retreat activity such as Adventures in Sweating Knitting your cost will not be discounted. 

Private rooms available at additional fee of $175.
