Learn to Knit 102: Hat
Once you have the knit and purl stitches down, a hat is a great next project.
In this class you'll:
- learn how to use circular needles;
- Knit and purl;
- learn how to change colors;
- how to use double pointed needles*;
- and, increase your yarn knowledge and knitting vocabulary
*Double pointed needles are use A Lot in knitting! They help you make things like hats, sleeves, socks and booties.
For this class you will need:
- one skein of chunky weight yarn (We recommend Ultra Wool Chunky, Malabrigo Chunky or Vintage Chunky), if you would like to stripe you'll need more skeins
- US 10, 16" circular needles
- US 10 double pointed needles
- pattern is included
Preparation:
This class meets 2 times. You will have one week between classes for knitting time.
Be sure to come to purchase your supplies before class day. Many yarns need to be made into balls before the you can knit with them.
Please read our class Policies before registering. A minimum of 4 participants is required to hold this class. Please encourage a friend to attend with you--it's more fun that way!
